Pioneering the New Golden Era of Agri-Inputs, AXEB (China) Unveils Strategic Upgrades and Innovative Products

On January 5, 2024, Shanghai hosted a pivotal forum themed “Exploring New Categories, Creating Shared Value.” The event, jointly organized by Agri-Input Daily and AXEB (China), focused on innovation in the biochemical pesticide industry. From technology advancements to future directions, the forum explored this emerging sector in depth. AXEB (China) took center stage, unveiling nine groundbreaking biochemical pesticide formulations, five new product brands, and its cutting-edge innovation: “Green Nano Core Encapsulation Technology”.

Policy Momentum Drives Biopesticide Development

China's dual-carbon policies emphasize balancing development with environmental stewardship, as highlighted by President Xi. The forum echoed these priorities, addressing the role of biochemical pesticides in modern agriculture. Positioned as a high-potential segment within agri-inputs, biopesticides align seamlessly with national policies targeting pesticide reduction and sustainable farming. Biopesticides meet both modernization and environmental goals, forming a crucial pillar for the industry’s sustainable transformation.

Accelerating Biopesticide Approvals

Government investment in innovation, coupled with strict limitations on chemical pesticide use, has created unprecedented opportunities for biopesticides. A report on biopesticide registration highlighted significant progress: Biochemical pesticides, microbial pesticides, and botanical-based products are now recognized under biopesticide management. Registration rates for biochemical pesticides have surged. From 2018 to 2023, 44% of new active ingredient registrations in China were biopesticides, with 13 categorized as biochemical pesticides. Biochemical pesticides are gaining momentum, presenting exciting opportunities for the industry's growth.
