Strong Immunity, Preventing Disease, and Treating Disease — Comprehensive Crop Health

China's agricultural sector has long adhered to the principle of "prevention first, integrated control" in plant protection. With the development of agricultural technologies and increased awareness among farmers, pest and disease control is gradually shifting from "treating existing diseases" to "preventing diseases before they occur." The focus is moving from reactive pesticide use to strengthening preventive measures in agricultural production.

The newly implemented "Zhejiang Provincial Crop Pest and Disease Control Regulations" on September 1st emphasizes the reinforcement of prevention strategies, marking a significant shift in China's approach to pest and disease control.

Comprehensive Crop Health

The concept of "comprehensive crop health" aligns with national plant protection policies, aiming to reduce dependence on chemical pesticides by enhancing crop health. "Comprehensive crop health" is an all-encompassing concept, covering every stage of plant development, from roots to leaves and fruits, as well as maintaining plant health under stress. It ensures overall plant vitality and optimizes growth conditions across multiple dimensions.

Fungal Vaccines for Strong Immunity – Enhancing Crop Resistance

Fungal vaccines activate and enhance the plant's innate resistance to pathogens, reducing the reliance on chemical pesticides and slowing the development of pathogen resistance. This approach minimizes environmental pollution and food safety risks, contributing to healthier crops and integrated disease management.

At the gene expression level, applying SUNBK resulted in a 129-fold increase in PR1 gene expression in the plant’s salicylic acid defense pathway, and a 7.5-fold and 30-fold increase in PR4 and ET. Resp.TR genes in the jasmonic acid and ethylene pathways, respectively. This significantly boosts the plant’s resistance to fungal diseases, effectively preventing infections.

At the physiological and biochemical level, SUNBK induced significant changes in disease-related enzyme activity in the plant, enhancing its disease resistance. For example, in cucumbers, SOD activity increased by 9.52%, and PPO activity surged by 102.8%. These enzymes play a vital role in protecting plants against pathogens by creating protective barriers and directly fighting off diseases.

Fungal Vaccines for Disease Prevention – Safeguarding Plant Health

"Preventing disease before it occurs" is a key strategy in agricultural pest control. Early-stage preventive treatments can effectively suppress disease, reduce crop damage, enhance disease resistance, promote healthy plant growth, decrease pesticide use, lower costs, improve yield, and ensure high-quality produce. This approach helps to build a protective ecological food safety line.

While crops are often under biological and environmental stress, traditional pesticides fail to protect against both pathogens and stress factors. SUNBK activates the plant’s immune system, enhancing its resistance to disease and environmental stress, optimizing gene expression, and promoting comprehensive crop health.

Treating Existing Diseases – More Efficient Integrated Pest Control

SUNBK directly strengthens the plant's resistance, while chemical pesticides target and eliminate pathogens. Together, they provide multi-layered protection, improving disease control efficiency by preventing new infections and treating existing ones.

Green and High-Quality Development

Green development is the foundation of high-quality growth, with new, green production capacity as its core.

SUNBK: Safeguarding Crop Health, Food Safety, and Environmental Sustainability

As the world’s first fungal vaccine, SUNBK is committed to providing full protection for crops throughout their growth cycle. It ensures both the health of the crops and the safety of the food they produce, while supporting sustainable agricultural practices and environmental protection.
